Which tarot course is for me?
It's important that you are honest with yourself regarding your current knowledge of the tarot, to ensure that you join the right course. However, if you join the advanced or professional course and then discover that maybe you should have taken an earlier course, we will be happy to transfer you.
Beginners tarot course
The beginners tarot course introduces you firstly to the deck author's original interpretation of the cards. Well we have to start somewhere don't we!
Assignment One
The first assignment relates to the symbology and interpretation of the card in today's world. This is an opportunity for the student to delve into the cards and discover how interpretations are derived from the pictures and symbols displayed on the cards and then build their own intepretations.
Assignment Two
Nearly all tarot books give keywords for each card. The second assignment encourages the student to find their own keywords for each card - these help as a memory trigger for when the student is doing readings.
We all have our own vocabulary and we all use different words to describe the same thing - this second assignment is the student's opportunity to fix in their mind keywords that they will use as memory prompts when a client draws a particular card.
Assignment Three
The third assignment gives you the opportunity to study the meaning of a reversed or upside down card. A reversed card does not mean the interpretation is reversed, rather that there are blockages which affect the full energy of the card. By looking at what could be blocked in a card you will gain a deeper understanding of the energy of the cards.
Assignment Four
The creative visualization exercise invites the student to see the card in their minds eye and allow their mind to take them on a journey related to the card.
Additional Assignments
In each suit there are two extra assignments..
The element of the suit.
The court card families.
We have set up a demonstration site so that you prospective students can see how the course works before they commit to taking any course(s).

Advanced tarot course
Before deciding to enrol on the advanced course, be sure that you are confident about your basic tarot knowledge as the advanced tarot course does NOT give you interpretations. Instead the course asks you to use your existing knowledge to gain deeper insight into the cards and prepare you for dealing with real life readings, starting with family and friends.
Assignment One
Is a repeat of assignment four from the beginners course. I believe the ability to be able to visualise the situations portrayed in the card is important and therefore this assignment is included in every course.
Assignment Two
In this second assignment, the student moves on to study the card in relation to their own life. By taking the time to remember experiences of their own in relation to the cards, the student remembers how they felt at the time and how they dealt with the situations. This helps us to take a subjective view of the situation portrayed by the card.
Assignment Three
Your third assignment is about observing the world around you and relating what you observe to the cards. The tarot is not about ancient interpretations that no longer fit in today's world. We need to be able to relate the tarot cards and their interpretations to what is happening to our clients NOW. We need to take the time to observe the world around us and relate those observations to the cards and our clients.
Assignment Four
This exercise is meant to encourage free flow thinking and get you thinking outside the box. By having to think up a story about the card it ensures that your mind absorbs all the various facets of the card.
Assignment Five
As every tarot reader will tell you, reading for family and friends is notoriously difficult. Firstly, we may be too close to the situation and secondly, we tend to tone down the readings because we don't want to hurt a loved one or beef the reading up in order to make our loved ones feel better. The reading assignment prepares the student for dealing with these types of readings.
Advanced tarot course exams
The student does ten email readings (chosen from the free readings forum or given to you by your tutor) and then ten online readings in chat rooms.
This is where most students duck out of the course - or rather they try to - no one has got away with it yet! I usually spend a week chatting to the quaking student assuring them that they wouldn't have got this far with the course if they weren't capable of reading, then they agree to do just one reading and end up being shocked when they get good feedback from the client. And then they go on to finish their course and gain their certificate!

Professional tarot Course
The professional tarot course involves in-depth research into the symbolism of the cards, relating the cards to a real person, essays, building your own tarot spreads and reading exams.
Assignment One
Again, this Is a repeat of assignment four from the beginners course. I believe the ability to be able to visualise the situations portrayed in the card is important and therefore this assignment is included in every course.
Assignment Two
This exercise enables you to gain a deeper understanding of the Tarot through researching the astrological and numerological associations and other symbolism within the card. It's important that you do your own research here. There are many theories for the associations of various symbols and elements of the tarot and you have to make up your own mind which ones you agree with.
Assignment Three
Asks you to consider what questions you should be asking yourself about your client. By becoming used to asking yourself questions in relation to the client and by linking in to your psychic abilities you will give your client a better reading.
Assignment Four
This assignment asks for a one card upright and a one card reversed reading in relation to an imaginary client.
Additional Assignments
In each suit there are two extra assignments..
The first is the story of the suit .. this exercise is meant to encourage free flow thinking and get you thinking outside the box. By having to think up a story about the suit it ensures that your mind absorbs all the various facets of the suit.
At the end of each suit you are asked to build your own tarot spread within a given theme.
Professional Course exams
The student does ten email readings (chosen from the free readings forum or given to you by your tutor) and then ten online readings in chat rooms.
Again, this is where most students try to duck out of the course, although not so many as when they do the advanced course. Again, I have to spend time chatting to the quaking student assuring them that they wouldn't have got this far with the course if they weren't capable of reading, then they agree to do just one reading and end up being shocked when they get good feedback from the client. And then they go on to finish their course and gain their certificate!
